Maris Taul, a graduate of the UT Viljandi Culture Academy, is passionate about preserving traditional textile skills. Since 2017, she's been dedicated to the art of repair, volunteering her time at the Tartu Repair Cafe as a textile mending expert.
During her studies, Maris delved deep into the world of textile repair. She researched mending techniques for traditional peasant trousers and explored how to repair woolen folk clothing. Her findings are detailed in a helpful little mending book. She also studied historical textile repair techniques from the early 20th century.
