Silver or Copper brooch with stamped pattern

Teacher: Eilve Manglus

Punching is a timeless technique used to decorate metal jewelry with intricate patterns. In this workshop, we'll delve into this traditional method to create a beautiful brooch inspired by Estonian flat brooches.

You'll learn fundamental jewelry-making skills, including sawing, filing, soldering, and polishing. Under the guidance of an experienced teacher, you'll design and craft your own unique brooch, incorporating punched patterns into the design.

Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this workshop offers a rewarding opportunity to explore the world of metalworking and create a stunning piece of jewelry.

Participants will begin by sketching their brooch design, and then, under the guidance of the teacher, they will bring their vision to life. The teacher will provide hands-on demonstrations and personalized assistance as needed. By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained a solid understanding of basic goldsmithing tools and techniques.

We use brass or high-quality 925 sterling silver to create your brooch. The participation fee includes brass and the use of jewellery tools. There is an additional fee for using silver.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, but basic manual dexterity is helpful. For sharp vision while working on small details, please bring a pair of suitable glasses.
