During the workshop, participants will forge a small iron cauldron based on North European Viking Age and Medieval examples. The iron cauldrons were usually made of a number of sheet iron panels that were riveted together. Traditional blacksmithing techniques and tools will be used.

The goal is to create fully functional cauldrons. We will use hot and cold forging, chiseling, filing, riveting, blackening techniques in the process. Most of the work will be done using handtools, metal heating will be done on open fire.
