Courses are taught by academics and practitioners with extensive experience in creative entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and education. Having led projects both in Estonia and internationally, they combine academic knowledge with practical tools that you can immediately apply in your own work.
The Creativity and Personal Development microdegree programme is part of the English-language Creative Project Management master's programme at the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy. It can be completed as a standalone professional development programme or used as a first step toward master's studies.

Target group: The programme is intended for professionals working in creative sector organisations, learners with prior experience in the creative industries, individuals interested in the creative economy (including those planning a career change), learners wishing to develop their entrepreneurship and leadership skills, and anyone interested in project management and its principles.
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification.
Programme Content
The microdegree programme consists of three master's-level courses:
Designing Your Life (5 ECTS)
Global Trends in the Culture and Creative Sectors and Industries (5 ECTS)
Ideas, Ideation & Design Thinking (5 ECTS)
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to:
understand their personal values, goals, and professional development;
apply creative thinking and design thinking tools;
analyse global trends affecting the cultural and creative sectors;
develop and present ideas in a structured and persuasive manner;
apply sustainability principles in their own projects.
Completion Requirements
The programme must be completed in accordance with the assessment requirements of each course. To receive the Microdegree Certificate, participants must successfully complete all three courses, totalling 15 ECTS.
Admission Requirements
To apply for the microdegree programme, applicants must have:
a bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification;
proficiency in English;
a motivation letter;
a successful admission interview.

The microdegree programme can also serve as a pathway towards the Creative Project Management master's degree.
