Learning outcomes:
A learner who has completed the microdegree:

  • understands the specific characteristics and future trends of creative entrepreneurship;
  • develops an idea into a business model and business plan;
  • designs marketing and communication strategies;
  • plans and manages projects throughout the entire project cycle;
  • uses project management tools and digital solutions;
  • applies principles of risk management and sustainability.

Target group:
Employees of organizations in the creative sector; learners with experience in the creative economy field; individuals interested in the creative economy (including those planning a career change); learners interested in enhancing their entrepreneurship and management skills; and those interested in the field and principles of project management. A bachelor’s degree is required.

To apply for the microdegree, the following are required:

  • a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification;
  • proficiency in English;
  • a motivation letter;
  • an admissions interview.

Creativity and Self-Development, Project Management of Creative Entrepreneurship and Strategic leadership in the digital era microdegree programmes are part of the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy's new one-year English-language master's curriculum in Creative Project Management. Completing all three microdegree programmes allows the option to complete the master's programme in Creative Project Management at your own pace, for example, by completing one microdegree programme per year.
