Invitation to the TUNE Intensive Week in Viljandi

Welcome to the TUNE Intensive Week at UT Viljandi Culture Academy in Estonia, taking place from 16 to 20 March 2026. The TUNE network brings together traditional music undergraduate programmes across Europe, supporting collaboration, mobility and shared artistic experience among students and teachers.

The Intensive Week offers a space for students to meet, play together, explore different approaches to traditional music and experience the musical environment of Viljandi. Participants from all partner institutions are warmly invited to join.

The week will begin on the morning of the 16th at 10 am and finish on the afternoon of the 20th. It will include: instrumental workshops, ensemble sessions, cultural activities in and around Viljandi and evening gatherings and informal musical exchange.

A detailed programme will be announced in early 2026.

Travel

Please note that the event takes place in Viljandi. Participants are advised to plan their travel accordingly, including local transport from Tallinn to Viljandi and back.

UT Viljandi Culture Academy is located in the town centre at Posti 1, within walking distance of most accommodation options.

Participants arrange their own accommodation.

Costs

Participation is free of charge.
Travel, meals and accommodation are at the participants' own expense.
